The Pandas trade-in platform is unique for its speed, accuracy, and intuitiveness. Telecom operators, OEMs, and tech retailers can benefit from it in multiple ways to drive sales and user retention. Samsung, one of our ongoing partners, has chosen to implement the Pandas trade-in technology to boost the sales of its new Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip5, and Galaxy Z Fold5.
Customers were given the opportunity to purchase the new smartphones for a lower price by trading in their previous ones through the Pandas Web App. In return, they got their device’s value, bumped with an extra monetary bonus from Samsung.
This is how we did it.
The challenge
To entice customers to purchase the new Samsung smartphones with a lower CPA.
The blocker
To offer an incentive that doesn’t hurt profit margins and to provide a seamless, friendly user journey within the existing Samsung app flow.
Our solution
We started by discussing with Samsung to get a full view of their launch campaign and then closely analyzed their user journey. It quickly became evident that the Pandas Web App was the ideal solution for what they were looking for: users could benefit from a discount, and that discount would be subsidized by trading in another device. The entire process would happen seamlessly and without hiccups, thanks to the speed, efficiency, and accuracy of remote grading, powered by the Pandas Web App.
The process
Customers purchase the new devices from stores participating in the promo based on the respective T&Cs.
They evaluate their previous smartphone using the Pandas Web App and get an accurate quote based on its condition.
The trade-in is completed.
Samsung offers an added, designated amount to every quote and customers get extra money back swiftly.
The benefits
The OEM partner provides an enticing offer that helps with boosting the sales of their new device.
The OEM partner and the customer benefit from the reliability and efficiency of the Pandas trade-in tech, with a fast seamless, and engaging user journey without any hassles.
The new model is much more accessible to the customer due to trade-in.
Both parties do their part in helping the cyclical economy.
